Slow Dance

SLOW DANCE
Have you ever watched kids

On a merry-go-round?

Or listened to the rain

Slapping on the ground?

Ever followed a butterfly’s erratic flight?

Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down.

Don’t dance so fast.

Time is short.

The music won’t last.

Do you run through each day

On the fly?

When you ask How are you?

Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done

Do you lie in your bed

With the next hundred chores

Running through your head?

You’d better slow down

Don’t dance so fast.

Time is short.

The music won’t last.

Ever told your child,

We’ll do it tomorrow?

And in your haste,

Not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch,

Let a good friendship die

Cause you never had time

To call and say,”Hi”

You’d better slow down.

Don’t dance so fast.

Time is short.

The music won’t last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere

You miss half the fun of getting there.

When you worry and hurry through your day,

It is like an unopened gift….

Thrown away.

Life is not a race.

Do take it slower

Hear the music

Before the song is over.

A Powerful Poem I Came Across

Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That’s no offense; it’s a freedom scene.
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all
In silence alone we must meditate,
God’s name is prohibited by the state

We’re allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.
They’ve outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the ‘unwed daddy,’ our Senior King.
It’s “inappropriate” to teach right from wrong,
We’re taught that such “judgments” do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.

It’s scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school’s a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

Families

Mat 10:34-37 NRSV) “”Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; 36 and one’s foes will be members of one’s own household. 37 Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me;”Tough words. Sometimes I think we expect God to make everything peaceful between us and our families. But actually, if we follow Christ, in all likelihood, we will have conflicts with some family members at one time or another. Perhaps you are trying to decide on a college major and feel called to ministry, but your parents think you need to do something “more practical.” Perhaps your brother or sister doesn’t understand why you don’t want to party or why you think people are more important than “things.” Maybe an in-law or parent criticizes you because you aren’t living the lifestyle they consider “the good life.” Just remember: Use Jesus as your plumbline, and no-one else. He never promised that our families would always be pleased with us. His certainly wasn’t always pleased with Him. It’s natural to want to please them, to make them proud. And it hurts when this doesn’t work out. However, Jesus has promised to always be there to help us.

(Mat 28:20 NRSV) And teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

Sometimes our behavior makes impressions on them, even when it doesn’t seem evident at the time. I have one relative who will argue against what I am convicted about, but later say “you really made me think.” We may not know until we are in Heaven, how our lives impact them. So keep your eyes on Christ; focus on pleasing Him.

Viewing Things

About where we look…

Psalms 23:5 …my cup runneth over. (2)

How we view things in life depends not upon keeping our eyes open but upon where we look. We can look at the cup we hold and look at it as half full or half empty. We can count the curses of the emptiness or count the blessings of the fullness. When we have an infinite God, pouring infinite love, infinite grace, infinite peace, infinite joy, and infinite grace into the cup of our lives, our cup runs over. When we count His spiritual blessings our cup overflows with joy. The cup of our lives cannot hold all that God has for us today nor can it hold all the treasures He has for us tomorrow. In the middle of our weeping His spirit draws close to us and pours out comfort. In the middle of our dark hours He draws close to us and gives us Light. In the middle of our depressing days He brings jokes, laughter, and goofiness.

Poem called Walk With Me

I come to you in chains

Chains of sin and death

They’re such a weighty burden

I can barely catch my breath

No matter how much I struggle

I can’t seem to break free

A captive to the stronghold of sin

Unbind me

Unbind me with your Spirit

Unbind me with the power of your blood

Unbind me with forgiveness and mercy

Unbind me

I give into temptation

And don’t consider the cost

Once I walked with you

But now I’m alone and lost

I’ll never find my way home

With you to lead me

A wanderer in need of a guide

Walk with me

Walk with me through the desert

Walk with me to the fountain of life

Walk with me to the throne room of God

Walk with me

Walk with me Holy Spirit

Walk with me – don’t leave my side

Walk with me until I’m in glory

Walk with me

GOLD

When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you truly love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord, ” he said, “you know that I love you.”
Jesus said, “Feed my lambs….”
“Take care of my sheep…”
“Feed my sheep”…
John 21:15-17

Why did Peter want to serve Jesus by taking care of his sheep? Did he need a good salary and a benefits package? Perhaps it was for a high position? Maybe he wanted to be famous? Or could it have been because he loved Jesus.

Peter loved the Lord and this love motivated him to complete the work Jesus assigned to him. He was given the responsibility to teaching and ministering to the early Christians.

Motivation in our workplace comes from either the world’s view or God’s view.

If we are motivated by the world’s goals, we are focused on ourselves, dominated by human nature and human desires. This can set us up to be manipulated by others. It will draw us away from a love relationship with God. The greatest motivation in our lives should be our love for Christ. The reason we love Christ is because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19) This motivates us to serve Him in all that we do. This love is demonstrated by our obedience to him and our love for others.

Therefore, we can love others because God empowers and directs us. Then we are motivated to minister to the people we come into contact with daily. When we are tuned in to Christ’s job task, we see opportunities to minister to others.

Motivation inspires action.
Action accomplishes goals.
God’s goals gratify.
“GO FOR THE GOLD!”

Anxiety

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Phillippians 4:6

Having read this verse, you are probably saying, “That’s easier said than done. If you only knew what I’m going through.” True, I don’t know your individual needs or anxious thoughts.

What I have learned during my own personal growing experiences is that God’s Word has never failed me in my greatest time of need. He doesn’t say He will answer my every need. As I child I learned that God may answer “yes”, “no”, or “wait.” As an adult, I have received all of the above answers, not understanding them, but knowing He loves me. Many times the “yes” I so desparately wanted was the “no” God knew I needed. Hind-sight is a good teacher. I was so thankful God said “no”.

I don’t know your circumstances, your anxious thoughts, or your pain, but our heavenly Father knows the yesterday, today and tomorrows of your life. Let your requests be known to Him, a burden shared is a burden halved…besides, He’ll be up all the time anyway! Let Him carry your anxieties for you so you can focus on the responsibilities of today and sleep peacefully through the night.

Positive Thoughts

Finally brethern, whatever is true, whatever is honorble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise let your mind dwell on these things. Phillipians 4:8

Good Afternoon! Have you noticed that the bookstores are filled with information on positive thinking? Advertisments focus on look-good-feel-good campaigns, especially if you use their products to loose weight, vanish wrinkles, or grow hair. No matter what you need to improve your self image someone has discovered the answere for you!

The best prescription for developing a strong self-image and a positive attitude is the one God inspired Paul to write in Philippians. When my mind drifts away into negative, impure and false thought patterns, I am reminded to turn my focus on the truth…that which is right, pure, holy, lovely and excellent. Then I am able to offer God praise for all that is around me. A positive thought life inspires a grateful heart.

Today as you complete the tasks before you, open your eyes that you might identify God’s presense in your workplace and then let your mind dwell on these “excellent” things.

Humble

“Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.” (Philippians 2:3-4 NAS)

Take these two verses and divide them into three parts and we have a wonderful lesson on how to develop an unselfish attitude. First, do nothing from selfish motives, and secondly, we are to regard others as more important than ourselves. The third thing is to look out for the interests of others, as well as our own.* All of this is contrary to what the world teaches us. “Do it to them before they do it to you” and “Look out for number one.” Humility and unselfishness are not words “upwardly mobile” people like to think about, very often.

Christ was the ultimate example of humility. He always chose to put the needs of other people before his own. He constantly made sure others were fed, rested, healed, and comforted. The verses following our target verse for today say these things about Jesus Christ, “although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, . . . emptied Himself, . . . taking the form of a bond-servant, . . . found in appearance as a man, . . . humbled Himself, . . . even to death on a cross.” He did everything He could to make sure He took care of the “interests of others.” As a result “God highly-exalted Him . . . so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow.” (Phil. 2:5-8) God made Jesus the most “upwardly mobile” person ever to exist.

In becoming Christlike, we choose to do the things that Christ did. We have to become so concerned with the needs of others and helping them become the best they can be, that we lose ourselves in the process, or rather we lose our desire to always be first. We must remember God does choose some to be first and some to be last. “Humility is the acceptance of the place appointed by God, whether it be in the front or in the rear.”

We must accept our place and do what we can to help others reach their place. “For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgement, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.” (Romans 12:3 NIV)

Do We Truly Know God??

Mark 4:41, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”

One of the principal teachings of the Christian faith is that salvation in Christ not only grants us forgiveness of our sins, but also brings us into a relationship with God. So my question, “Do you know Him?” Seems fair. Knowing Christ is more than talking about Him. Knowing Christ is more than going to church. Knowing Christ involves a relationship.

We often feel we know someone, when we really don’t know them. Let us not make this mistake in our relationship with Christ. We all have seen President Bush on television. If we had to pick him out of a lineup, we would know him. But knowing the President by sight in no way means that we know him. There is more to knowing someone than that. We might go a step further. Perhaps you attend church with so and so, and someone else asks you if you know so and so. Now you have spoken many times with this person, and you might answer that you know them, but what I have in mind here is a deeper knowledge than mere conversation. Knowing Christ is deeper than that, or at least should be.

Maybe you have been invited over to someone’s house and had dinner. This certainly is a deeper knowledge, but we can still have dinner with someone and not really know them. Let’s jump to the punchline. You are married. Do you know your spouse? I hope so. But there are always still some things you don’t know about him or her. Our knowledge of each other, even in marriage, while probably as deep as we can find in life, is still not complete. But what is Paul’s desire in Phillipians 3:10? “That I may know Him.” Paul sought to gain a deeper and deeper knowledge of Christ. Paul was not satisfied with a foggy knowledge of Christ, but wanted an intimate deep knowledge and fellowship with Christ. Followers of Christ seek His company in the deepest, joyous and most satisfying ways possible this side of eternity.

If you wonder, as the disciples did on the boat in Mark 4:41, “Who then is this?” and you seek as Paul did, to know Him, you are on the right track. Developing and maintaining a relationship with Christ takes time and effort. It is not done overnight. As in any relationship, we grow in our knowledge of each other. It is also something that has to be maintained. We all have those who we once had a deep relationship with, and since have lost touch. The relationship was not maintained, the effort was not extended and the closeness lessened to the point where contact was lost. May this never happen with our relationship with Christ, but rather, may we always be seeking to grow and deepen that relationship that of all our relationships is the most important. May the Spirit work in our hearts, to ever deepen our walk and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Forgivness

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” (Ephesians 1:7)

Have you thought about forgiveness lately? I mean have you really considered what all is involved in forgiving someone? In this verse from Ephesians, Paul is using the Greek word for forgiveness which means “dismissal, release, remission of sins.” It means complete removal of the cause of the offense and the penalty.

According to our justice system when an offense occurs, there is a resulting penalty to be paid. The penalty of our sin has been paid through the price of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. There are certain conditions to receiving the promised forgiveness of Jesus Christ. These conditions are repentance and confession. In Matthew 18:21-22, Jesus tells us to forgive “seventy times seven.” In other words, forgive over and over, just as He does. Our Ephesians verse tells us His grace is based on “riches”, in other words, it is unlimited.

Have you ever noticed how much forgiveness can hurt? Consider this quote from Edwin Orr, “When you are forgiven, someone must pay, and the one who forgives is the one who suffers.” The one who is forgiven is released of the guilt of the sin that has been committed. Our forgiveness of someone takes a little of our pride, the forgiveness that Jesus offered took His life.

My prayer is that I never take the forgiveness of Jesus Christ lightly, because it took His life for me to have it.

Color of Life

Hebrews 12:2 ……”Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (KJV)

I read something once that touched me…here is a paraphrasing…”a person’s personality starts out like a bucket of white paint. Everything that happens to us along life’s road adds color. Seeing a wonderful sunset adds a drop of lavendar, a best friend can add a delightful shade of blue. Pain always adds red….no matter how much of the other colors you add, there will always be that red, overshadowing everything and tainting the rest of the things we see and hear.” Written by a secular writer, she didn’t know that once you add the Blood of Christ, the red from His pain has the power to turn the red of our pain white as snow to color that bucket of paint a beautiful color again Oftentimes, we as Christians forget that when we accepted Christ as our Savior, His blood covers all sins, all memories, everything that has happened in our lives. Too often we live under the shadows of the past. When we accept Christ, though, the paint is made brand new, fresh….completely white again. Looking unto Jesus, we repaint the future history of our lives. Our new decisions, based on God’s word, and the runner who ran before us, now have the capability to always be the purest white. What color is your paint??

Admit to Failure

They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.

—John 21:3

It was a familiar scene.  The disciples had been fishing all night, but caught nothing.  Then they hear a voice from the shore call out, “Children, have you any food?” (John 21:5).

The word “children” used here could also be translated “boys.”  Both terms would normally be used by a parent or an authority figure.  I wonder if Peter thought, Who is he calling boys?  We are men.  Why is he even talking to us?  It’s not his business.

But John, always the perceptive one, recognized that it was Jesus.  But why did the Lord ask them this question?  The point was to show them their own need.  He wanted them to admit their failure: “We caught nothing.”  It isn’t that this was the biggest failure you could ever have.  After all, we have all had this happen when we have gone fishing.  But Jesus was using their empty nets to illustrate a larger point.

God will do the same with us.  Before we can find restoration, before we can find forgiveness, we have to admit our failure.  That is really hard for some people.  We don’t like to admit we have failed.  It seems like more people are willing to say, “I’m sick” than “I’m sorry,” or “I have sinned.”  We have become a nation of dysfunctional victims with all kinds of imaginary diseases.  It seems like no one wants to take responsibility for their actions any more.

So to the disciples, the Lord said, “Did you catch anything?”

Before we can find God’s forgiveness, and indeed, His restoration, we must first admit our need.  No excuses.  No blaming others.  Instead, just honest confession as we take responsibility for our own actions.

Doubled Faced

Have you ever met a two-faced person? Have you ever been one? Behaving one way at church, showing a totally different face at home, on the job or at school?

We need to always put our best face forward, as it were. Hypocrisy is one of the Lord’s pet peeves. We’re told in 1 Peter 2:1 to stop all the silly pretending. “So get rid of all malicious behavior and deceit. Don’t just pretend to be good! Be done with hypocrisy and jealousy and backstabbing.” (NLT)

Jesus said in Mark 7:6, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.’” (NIV) It doesn’t even really matter who has the furriest upper lip. Whatever my lip condition, I never want it to be out of sync with my heart. Hypocritical behavior is a bust. And when we have secret places of hypocrisy in our lives, they interfere with our worship. After all, there are no secret places that are hidden from Him. He sees our hearts. Isaiah 66:3 says, “The acts of the hypocrite’s worship are as abominable to God as if they were offered to idols.” (AMP)

Enough duplicity. We need to get rid of every two-faced tendency. When I meet Jesus face to face, I certainly don’t want it to be face to face to FACE.

Life And Death

John 11:25-26=Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life.  He who believes in me will live, even though  he dies; 26and whoever lives and believes in me will never die… Do you believe this?

WOW. What a powerful verse. Im dedicating this post to a family that I dont even know. I was told of a family whom the mother gave birth to a stillborn. First let me say that no family should have to endure that pain, but it does happen.

I stayed up praying and praying for this family. I know what it is like to have a stillborn in the family. My cousin shot herself because of the pain she went through after she gave birth to her stillborn. My heart went out to them. I woke up at 5:30 this morning to pray for them . The funeral for the baby was today.

Do I know why God does this? No I do not know, I only have a guess as to why it happens.  I do know that God does not do this to hurt us in anyway.  God give’s us little miracles. God bless’s us with these precious babies. Babies grow up into children. We teach them the way’s of God and what God wants us to teach them. We raise them up in church or however you as a Christian do.

I know this family will probally never be able to read this but I wanted to throw some more verse’s into this because I know that alot of us have been in the same situation. Blessings to you

John 16:33″ I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.

1st Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time, Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.

When you wake up in the morning, be thankful and remember how blessed we are to have familie’s. God has given us few a chance to raise up strong Christian’s. To go out into this world and tell everyone how God loves us.

For those that are hurting and in pain right now because of something that has happend in this day. Our wonderful Father is holding you so close to His heart. Tightly in His hands. No one and not even anything can take that away from you.

Hold onto God.

Much love and prayer’s to this family and to all the others.!

Be still and listen

What does it mean to be still and listen?  Alot of people can come up with different idea’s of what it mean’s.  Wanna know what I think it mean’s?

Ok lets try this little exercise. Find a place where it is quiet.  Sit down or lay down whatever make’s you comfortble. Close you’r eye’s and just listen .. Familiar yourself with your surronding’s.  Slowly focus on your heart..Listen to the pit pat, pit pat, pit pat.  Kinda relaxing huh?

I do that to just reconnect my thought’s with God.  I give myself a time out so to speak.  We all need time out’s. In our daily walk’s with God we tend to get side tracked. We loose that connection to that heart, our heavenly Father’s heart.

We as christian’s tend to get caught up in our daily live’s and the worrie’s, stress, feeling’s etc… How many of us can say we take our daily time each day to reconnect and pray to God?  I know that for a fact I do not each day.  It’s hard or to complicated or even to stressful..All we want to do is say “god forgive me for my sins today bless such and such and amen”  Hmm I can say I have done that before.

Im learning to be still and know that God is all around me. He wants me to take the time to listen to him and absorb all He has to give me.  He only wants us to stop and to be still and to listen.. To know HE is GOD.

Pslams 46:10

10 “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”

Something I came across

Just up the road from my home is a field, with two horses in it.From a distance, each looks like every other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing.Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him. This alone is amazing.

If nearby and listening, you will hear the sound of a bell. Looking around for the source of the sound, you will see that it comes from the smaller horse in the field. Attached to her halter is a small bell. It lets her blind friend know where she is, so he can follow her.

As you stand and watch these two friends, you’ll see how she is always checking on him, and that he will listen for her bell and then slowly walk to where she is, trusting that she will not lead him astray. When she returns to the shelter of the barn each evening, she stops occasionally and looks back, making sure her friend isn’t too far behind to hear the bell.  Like the owners of these two horses, God does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges. He watches over us and even brings others into our lives to help us when we are in need.Sometimes we are the blind horse being guided by the little ringing bell of those who God places in our lives. Other times we are the guide horse, helping others see.Good friends are like this. You don’t always see them, but you know they are always there.

A New Creation

The past 2 1/2 weeks have been a very trying time in my life.  I have learned so many different lesson’s that I’m not sure if I will get to them all in this one post.

I started out learning my husband wanted a divorce.  He said he did not love me anymore and could find nothing to love about me.  Talk about heart shattering.  I fell down to my lowest point ever.   I thought I was nothing, I thought that I was worthless, I thought I could never pick myself back up and the main question going over and over was what did I do wrong.  What could I go back and change to make it not my fault anymore?

That is what I did wrong. I let the devil get into my mind and make me think those thoughts. I let him corrupt me.  I let him take me to the lowest part of my life. That was not the end of it.  I had alot of things happen in my life after that.  Some of those thing’s I do not want to go into because it would be way to confusing to those you that read this.

To get to the most interesting part of this all, I can counsel others but not take my own advice.  Sure I can give great advice and help others in their time of needs. I’m great at that, I’m great at showing compassion, love, and respect to other’s.. I cannot show myself that.  I lost that way of God’s love.  I thought I lost all of it.

I was down and alone (or thought I was) felt like I could do it on my own. Felt like I did not need anyone’s help because I was the strong one. I was the one people called on when they needed help in their greatest time of need.  I neglected to look at God’s love He has for me.

I tell other’s turn to God. God is always there in your greatest time of need. God will pick you right back up, dust you right back off, point you on the straight path again.  I wanted to do that myself, but you know what? I couldn’t.

For you all right now who think you can get over your feelings on your own, think again.  You will never be able to get over your feelings of hate, sadness, despair etc… The only one in this world capable of taking that away is GOD.

TURN TO GOD!! God is the only one who can lift you up.  God is the only one who can fill you with His breath of life again. God is the only one who can give you strength when you are weak.  God is the only one who can turn your thoughts into positive ones.  Give it to God, I did.

I was at my all time low a low that I want to NEVER EVER see again.  The only way I came out of that low was turning to God.  My heart is new, my perspective is that of God’s.  I see things in a different way now because of what God did for me.  This verse is the strongest one for me and I pray that you will get strength from it.

EZEKIEL 37:5 This is what the sovereign Lord say’s to these bone’s “I will make breath enter you and you WILL come to LIFE!!

What a verse. That verse speaks for itself.

Blessings and Love

Melissa

God is greater than our feelings, and know’s all thing’s..  What a sentence, to know that we have that from our God! No matter what background we come from or whatever age we are or even whatever we look like. God know’s our heart’s. God know’s our feeling’s.

Sometime’s we overlook that or sometime’s we forget it and never realize it was there. My purpose in this post is to remind everyone that God is truly there.  I for one do that sometime’s. I stumble, I get lost, I forget. I am only human.  I want God to look at me and smile. I want to be loved, and feel comfortable and listen to God.  Sometime’s I have day’s where I feel low, lower than dirt. And that give’s the devil enough energy to throw obstacles in my way. On those day’s when everything is thrown in my way, the only person that is there to pick me up and dust me of is my heavenly father.  My heavenly Father know’s my feeling’s, He know’s my thought’s, He know’s my pain.  All I have to do or all we have to do is put our trust into Him.  Put our whole bodie’s to Him.. So our God can heal and make us whole no matter what our problem’s are.

There are people out there that are depressed. People out there on depression medicine. There is only one person in this world that can cure the depression. Our heavenly Father can heal that. He can take away all the pain.  Trust in our heavenly Father to help us.

We as human’s have different emotion’s. We can be happy, sad, upset, angry, mad, excited, and sometime’s a combination of those.  Our Heavenly Father know’s exactly what we are feeling or gonna feel. He knew us before we were born, He knew the trials we would endure.  You can see a christian based upon their feeling’s, how they can handle their feeling’s.  We all come up with dumb saying’s about our feeling’s such as “you woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning” or “didn’t have your coffee yet?” .  We as Christians are suppose to live above all of that. GOD IS GREATER THAN MY FEELING’S!

We can all get free from the bondage of feeling’s. We can all look over our feeling’s and give it all to God.  When we wake up in the morning’s we can say our prayer’s for the day but lets include a special prayer. A prayer saying Heavenly Father, Take control of my heart today, Take over in my life today, Let me show feeling’s but only in the way You want me to. Protect my heart.

Often as christian’s our feeling’s don’t surface. We hide them, we do not let anyone see them. We are ruled by our feeling’s when we do that. Give it to God.. Give God everything.

Alot of what I have said is probably a little mixed up. The main part is GOD IS GREATER THAN OUR FEELING’S!.. I have listened to a sermon on that topic. I felt it was a good topic to share with other’s.. There are alot of christian’s out there who either hide their feeling’s or let their feeling’s control them.  I for one would rather have God control me and live by His word.  God does not want to see us in pain from our feeling’s.  Anything that is bothering you, or you’r feeling’s are taking control, you are not gonna get rid of that until you give it to God.  God is the only one that is greater than our feeing’s and the only one who rule’s over our feeling’s.. We must go to God if we are to get a handle of our feeling’s.. Why would you want to keep those in, they only cause destruction to you’r body and spirit.

When we take our ownselve’s down saying we are stupid, we are not loved, we cannot pray, etc…. It’s useless..   If we cannot get ahold of our feeling’s you and I cannot go where we need to go together.. You need to go to a God that is greater than our feeling’s.. Feelings come and go. Some people wait for our feelings to be solved once you get your stuff resolved that our feelings will be better.. Why do we want what we want. Because there is a feeling we are looking for.. In the core of every human being when we drive past a car dealership we say oh God some day.. We are gonna spend five times the money to get that.. Why??  Because of a feeling. When we get into that new car we are gonna get a feeling. See the point?? Or maybe you will get it and then after 2 months your gonna have to get another one.. FEELINGS.. GOD IS GREATER THAN OUR FEELINGS.    If your feelings condemn you . If your feeling’s say you cant pray because you didn’t pray yesterday .. When we think of that way we are just saying to the Devil WELCOME INTO MY FEELING’S.  I don’t know about other’s but, I want God to be in-control of my feeling’s. I want to live my life, as being happy, loving others, comforting others, and most important letting God be in control.

There is my insight. It all come’s together after you read it and think of it.

Blessings and Love in God.

Christians/Higher Pedastools

Well considering I have seen this happen many many time’s, I thought I would discuss my own thought’s here. As a christian I often see other christians and sometime’s non christians, think they are higher than other’s.

This alarms me. We as christians have a job to do. 1. live for God. 2. Witness to others. 3. Do not gossip about others. 4. Live everday like God wants us to do.

I am not saying I am perfect. I am saying that God does not look down happy when He see’s his son’s and daughter’s gossip, or even look down upon others.

I use to wear a nosering and a eyebrow peircing. I was constantly looked down upon other christians. I was always voided out in and out of my church.

Yes our bodie’s are a holy temple.  My main thought about all of this is that we as christians should not look down upon others. We need to lift them up and encourage them.. We should not gossip about them. We should not judge them for what they look like. The chat room I go into alot is a christian chat room.

I see this alot in that room. A new commer will arrive and immediatly they are bombarded with questions. Are they a JW or Mormon. Are they christian. How long have they been saved/reborn. I for one do not like that. We are God’s children we are to treat them like God would treat us. Love and kindness.

Our heavenly Father takes us into His arms and lets us see and feel His love that He has for us. Why as us christians can we not do the same to others?  I for one think we are going against God if we cannot treat others like God would treat us. God would never judge anyone. Why us against others?

I cannot say I have never ever done that. I am not perfect. I am only human simple as that. We as humans make mistakes and when we fall down God is there to help us back up and dust us back off and help us get back onto that straight path.

We should start looking at others with more love. Help them see that God is always there and is never going to leave our side’s.. We need to come off of our Higher Pedastool’s and see what is right in front of us. A child who need’s God..

I belive we christians start doing that we will all grow stronger in our faith and more close to God. Our hearts will open and recieve more from God.  We will start recieveing more knowledge from God.

God will start placing more and more people into you’r live’s to counsel and help without looking down upon them or forcing religion down their throats. The more religion you push down them, the further they run from us.

Well I hope this is inspiring to everyone.

God Bless and much Love to everyone.

Melissa
